In this article we will see about B.Tech programes which is offering by Central Universities under CUCET-2021. For UG (UIQP01) courses CUCET-2021 had conducted by NTA on 23.09.2021.
About Central Universities :-
Central Universities or Union Universities in India are established by an Act of
Parliament and are under the purview of the Department of Higher Education in the
Ministry of Education. In general, Universities in India are recognised by the University
Grants Commission (UGC), which draws its power from the University Grants
Commission Act, 1956. In addition, 15 Professional Councils are established,
controlling different aspects of accreditation and coordination. Central universities, in
addition, are covered by the Central Universities Act, 2009, which regulates their
purpose, powers, governance etc., and established 12 new universities.
CU-CET is Central Universities Common Entrance Test for admission to different
programmes of participating Central Universities. It provides a single window
opportunity to the students to seek admission in these participating Universities /
Institute(s) across the country.
List of 12 participating Central Universities in the CU-CET 2021
a) Assam University, Silchar,
b) Central University of Andhra Pradesh
c) Central University of Gujarat
d) Central University of Haryana
e) Central University of Jammu
f) Central University of Jharkhand
g) Central University of Karnataka
h) Central University of Kerala
i) Central University of Punjab
j) Central University of Rajasthan
k) Central University of South Bihar

B. Tech Programmes offering CUs:-
1) Computer
Science and
Engineering (B. Tech) by Central University of Haryana (CUHAR )
Eligibility: Admission to first year / first semester
Bachelor Degree in Technology shall
be open to the students who have
passed XII standard or equivalent
examination conducted by CBSE or
equivalent boards with minimum of
45% marks in aggregate. For the
requisite qualifications earned from
foreign countries, Equivalence
Certificate from the Association of
Indian Universities (AIU) is mandatory.
The matter of eligibility of the candidate
shall be put up to the Equivalence
Committee for its consideration and the
decision of the Equivalence Committee
shall be final. In addition to the Point
(1), the student shall have secured not
less than fourty five (45) percent
marks in the aggregate with Physics
and Mathematics as compulsory
subjects, along with any one of the
following subjects, namely, Chemistry,
Biotechnology, Computer Science,
Biology and Electronics or as decided
by the University from time to time:
“Provided, the minimum marks for the
purpose of eligibility shall be forty (40)
percent in the aggregate in XII
standard in case of students belonging
to the SC/ST and the OBC (noncreamy layer)/ differently abled
candidates or as decided by the
University from time to time. Provided
further that, the student shall have
studied and passed English as one of
the subjects.”
2) Electrical
Engineering(B. Tech. Voc)by Central University of Haryana (CUHAR )
Eligibility:Admission to first year / first semester
Bachelor Degree in Technology shall
be open to the students who have
passed XII standard or equivalent

equivalent boards with minimum of
45% marks in aggregate. For the
requisite qualifications earned from
foreign countries, Equivalence

Technology (B. Tech) by Central University of Haryana (CUHAR )

examination with 50% marks (45% for OBC
{NON CREAMY LAYER}, SC, ST, PWD
and Kashmiri Migrant and non-migrants
Students) and having studied Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics and who have
secured a minimum of 40% (35% for OBC
{NON CREAMY LAYER} SC/ST, PWD and
Kashmiri Migrant and non-migrants
Students) marks in the Central Universities
Common Entrance Test 2021.

of performance in JEE– Main Exam (2021)
who is eligible for writing JEE–Advanced 2021, the national level test conducted by
the IITs for admission to all their UG
